This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects within the transmission and distribution sectors across the UK, supporting innovative energy solutions.What you'll be doing:* Lead FEED and detailed design workstreams for HV substations, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with client specifications.* Manage and mentor a team of engineers, supporting their development and performance.* Oversee design reviews, including layouts, earthing, interlocking schemes, and HV equipment specifications.* Coordinate project interfaces with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless delivery.* Act as tender manager for HV plant packages, reviewing technical offers and ensuring competitive submissions.* Engage with clients and stakeholders through meetings, site visits, and technical reviews.* Support business growth by maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.What you'll bring:* Experience leading technical teams in primary plant design for substations.* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Chartered Engineer or working towards it.* Proven expertise in HV plant design within the UK or internationally.* Skilled in preparing bids, cost estimates, and working with electrical standards (IEC, IEEE).* Effective communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities and travel when needed.Join a collaborative environment that values diversity, innovation, and your professional growth.
