Role: Goods Inwards Operative
Location of Role: Carnbane, Newry
Rule Purpose: To assist in the overall receipting of stock into the warehouse, scheduling deliveries, and to adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures always.
Accountable to: Goods Inwards Manager
Key Relationships: Department Managers, Trading, HR, H&S, External clients and customers, fellow employees.

Responsibilities
* Work as part of a fast-moving team unloading deliveries on loading bays and unloading curtain siders.
* Accurate completion of receipting deliveries to a high standard & maintain stock accuracy using an RF gun.
* Work with 3rd party suppliers and Haulers to organise and schedule expected deliveries using WMS.
* To minimise missed sales and losses to the company through accuracy and Quality checks on all deliveries.
* To keep work area clean and tidy, perform to required operating Standards across the warehouse.
* To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work as other tasks may be asked of you.
* Communicate any challenges / barriers with deliveries to goods inwards management to ensuring they are addressed as quickly as possible.
* Ensure procedures, team targets and KPI's are achieved.
* Working with the wider warehouse team to continuously improve the operation as a whole and working together to maintain Standards.
* Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all aspects of the company's H&S Policy, operating procedures, and Safe systems of work.
* Work closely with peers and other key teams within the business to ensure smooth flow of stock into the warehouse.
* Upkeep of daily communication records using Microsoft office packages.
* To act as an ambassador for S&W Wholesale and behave in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
* Responsible alongside the team for the upkeep and organisation of the yard.
Essential
* Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English NVQ in
* Hold or have held in the last 3 years a Warehouse
* Forklift License Management
* 1+ years' Experience operating a and WMS back counterbalance forklift in a warehouse office systems environment.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Physical and manual dexterity
* Able to demonstrate the application of continuous improvement techniques
* Results orientated
* Team Player
* Perform well under pressure
* Organized and efficient.
* Undertake training
Desirable
* 2+ years' Experience working within Warehouse environment Experience of within a similar role using RF guns
* Previous experience using Microsoft office packages.
* Counterbalance preferred
