This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Are you dynamic, forward thinking and enjoy teamwork? If so come and join the MSK physiotherapy team in West Lothian
* You will work within the MSK physiotherapy team, which delivers a MSK service at St John’s Hospital and in ten Health Centres across West Lothian.
* We can offer flexible working hours.
* This post will be responsible for the Hydrotherapy service. Training will be provided as necessary
* You will work closely with the Team Lead Leadership Team to operationally manage the MSK service and help to develop and deliver service change as required
* You will have a mixed caseload of urgent, chronic, orthopaedic and rheumatology conditions and persistent pain.
* Referrals come from a wide variety of sources:- GP’s, GP Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APPs), NHS24 & Consultants for musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and rheumatic conditions
* You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of MSK settings depending on service needs covering:- 1 to 1 consultations, gym rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, community and pain management.
* We also have a physiotherapy led pain service, which has links to the Lothian Chronic Pain Service
* An interest in persistent pain would be preferable. Training in this area will be provided
* We offer protected CPD time and a comprehensive training programme, which will be matched to your needs and work location.
* You will be mentored by the Lead Physiotherapist to help you achieve your objectives, fulfil your Personal Development (Plan PDP) and achieve all your pillars of practice
* This post will provide the development for you to move to a Band 8A role
* We have great links to our first contact GP Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APPs) service
* We work closely with APPs in the Spinal, Shoulder and Foot & Ankle pathways to ensure seamless quality care for patients
* There are good transport links some members of our team happily commute from either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
