Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire (NG31)
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
Contract: Long term to Permanent
Support, Stability and Real Impact in a Specialist SEMH School
Long Term Futures are partnering with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Grantham to recruit a Teaching Assistant who can bring calm, consistency and compassion to the classroom. Starting in September 2025, this full-time role is an opportunity to work with students aged 5-16 who require tailored support.
This school is part of a progressive Multi-Academy Trust focused on therapeutic and inclusive learning environments.
Your Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to pupils with SEMH needs
* Assist in delivering lessons and adapting learning materials to individual abilities
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being throughout the day
* Help maintain a calm, structured and safe classroom environment
* Confidently support pupils who display challenging behaviour, using clear boundaries, consistency and empathy
About You:
* Experience supporting children with SEMH or SEND is highly desirable
* Calm, patient, and solution-focused when facing difficult or disruptive behaviour
* Able to build trust and rapport with pupils
* Comfortable working in a setting where challenging behaviour is part of the day-to-day role
* Resilient, reflective and passionate about helping children overcome barriers
