Would you like to join a small team of dedicated Support Workers? Would you like to make a difference to the lives of adults with a learning disability? Then, joining our team at Ivy Cottage may be the role for you.

Ivy Cottage is part of Canterbury Oast Trust, a local charitable trust. We are passionate about providing high-quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities. We provide residential and supported living care, based in small, unique family-style homes. The ethos of all our homes is to support independence, dignity, choice and achievement by helping people to live the lives they choose.

What you'll be doing:

We seek a Support Worker with the right values and behaviours to care for and support adults with learning disabilities and other health-related needs.

In Ivy Cottage, you'll join a team delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults based on their needs.

You will assist them in every aspect of their daily lives, including personal care, by providing a safe and supportive environment that enables individuals to feel valued, reach their potential and nurture their aspirations.

You will be required to drive a COT pool car (manual) to drive/accompany the residents to appointments and activities. For business/driving purposes, you will need to be 21 or over.

What will you need:

You don't need to have previous experience or qualifications to get started. We will provide learning and development support to help you become an excellent Support Worker. Above all, we want someone who shares our values:

* Seeing the possibilities to make a positive difference
* Valuing and celebrating individuality and diversity
* Supporting dignity, independence, needs, choices and aspirations
* Being responsible, dependable and innovative in our work.

This is an exciting role where no two days are ever the same. However, you will need to be 21 or over and hold a full UK driving licence to fulfil the driving aspects of the role.

In return, we will offer you:

As a Support Worker, your benefits will include:

* a competitive salary
* weekend & sleep-in allowances,
* enhanced overtime and bank holiday rates,
* generous annual leave entitlement,
* healthcare cash plan
* excellent learning & development opportunities.

If you believe you have what it takes to become an excellent Support Worker and make a difference to the lives of our service users, then we would love to hear from you.
