We are keen to speak to professional supervisors/team leaders/foremen with a background in civil engineering and experience of both planned and reactive works. Based in the South West and working from our valued clients Glastonbury depot, youll join a successful and growing company with works in engineering and rail related infrastructure activities with offices UK wide Your responsibilities as a General Foreman: Main duties will include the allocation of staff, plant, equipment and other requirements to complete tasks within designated timeframes Conduct site inductions, briefings and inspections and keeping documentation of any alterations Management of site operatives and subcontractors Understand project objectives, timescales and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies at all times Keep meticulous site records in required timescales and update progress on a weekly basis Collaborate closely with Site and Project Managers as well as Site Engineers to address any alterations to site operations Identify further training needs Any other reasonable duties as necessitated by the role Requirements as a Site Foreman: Prior experience of rail civil engineering and particularly scour works Prior supervisor/team leader/foreman experience Strong safety awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety procedures A positive attitude Please note that this role will require you to regularly work away from home and includes weekend and evening work This position will be subject to two employment references, a Drugs & Alcohol and medical test and drivers license check.
