About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils requiring additional academic, emotional, and behavioural guidance. Key responsibilities may include: Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis Assisting with classroom learning activities Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies Helping pupils manage transitions and routines Promoting positive communication and social interaction Assisting teaching staff with classroom preparation and organisation Creating a calm and nurturing environment for learners The setting supports children and young people with autism, communication difficulties, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
