* Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, encouraging upselling where appropriate and reviewing results daily.
* Oversee the guest journey from arrival to departure, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless farewell.
* Carry out regular walkabouts, picking up on detail, presentation, and Health & Safety issues.
* Work closely with housekeeping to make sure rooms and apartments are consistently prepared to the highest standards.
* Take responsibility for guest feedback, responding quickly and constructively to both praise and complaints.
* Support pre- and post-stay communication so that guests feel looked after at every stage of their booking.
* Ensure compliance with hotel procedures including finance, GDPR, and health and safety.
* Keep accurate records and ensure effective handovers between shifts.
* Act as a role model for the team, dealing promptly with underperformance and leading by example.
* Communicate VIP arrivals and special requests to the wider team so we deliver memorable stays.
About you:
* You'll have a keen eye for detail and a passion for consistently high standards.
* You enjoy being guest-facing, approachable, and ready to help – whether it's offering recommendations or resolving issues quickly.
* You're a natural multi-tasker, calm under pressure, and able to make decisions confidently.
* You'll be a strong communicator, both with guests and across departments.
* Above all, you'll bring a positive, proactive attitude and the confidence to take ownership of the role.
