Responsibilities
* Act as a technical authority within the service with recognised depth of expertise.
* Assess and appropriately manage complex risks within childrens social care.
* Drive practice improvement by mentoring and developing others.
* Lead on process mapping, procedure specification, and strategy development.
* Manage the most complex cases to maintain credibility and hands-on expertise.
* Align practice with Assistant Team Manager and Principal Social Worker roles where appropriate.
Essential Requirements
* Degree/Masters in Social Work and current SWE registration.
* Substantial post-qualification experience, including complex casework.
* Proven ability to assess and manage risk within childrens social care.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring or developing others.
* Knowledge of UK legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice frameworks.
* Right to work in the UK.
