Overview As an Outsourcing Assistant Manager at BDO, youll manage your own portfolio of fast-growing SMEs and international groups, producing clear monthly and quarterly management accounts and cashflow forecasts that help clients make informed decisions. Youll review balance sheet reconciliations, maintain strong financial controls, prepare and review VAT returns, and support HMRC compliance. The role also involves driving process improvements and supporting cloud-system migrations across platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct. Youll work closely with Tax, Audit and Payroll to deliver a seamless client experience, while building trusted relationships with finance leads and business owners. Youll oversee work planning, manage deadlines, track time and billing, and identify risks and opportunities-bringing in BDO specialists where it adds value. Youll be someone with: ACA or ACCA qualified, with recent experience in practice or industry Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102, IFRS exposure is helpful Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts Good understanding of VAT and day-to-day accounting compliance Confident user of cloud accounting tools (eg Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct) and Excel Youll be able to be yourself; well recognise and value you for who you are and celebrate and reward your contributions to the business.
