Role Overview:As a 3rd in Charge or Room Leader, you will have a pivotal role in leading the daily operations of your room.You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of care, educational development, creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for both children and staff. You will also assist in the management and development of your team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:Lead and Manage:Oversee the room’s daily activities, ensuring children are engaged, safe, and happy.Curriculum Implementation:Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that enhance children’s learning and development.Team Leadership:Provide leadership, guidance, and support to junior staff members, ensuring a collaborative team atmosphere.Assessment & Progress:Regularly observe and assess children’s progress, tailoring approaches to meet individual developmental needs.Parental Communication:Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and guardians, updating them on their child’s progress and well-being.Routine Management:Oversee and guide daily routines, including meal times, nap times, play sessions, and educational activities.Health & Safety:Ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.Compliance & Best Practice:Adhere to all legal, regulatory, and company policies to ensure the nursery provides high-quality care.Staff Development:Assist in staff development and mentoring to ensure continuous improvement and a positive working environment.Requirements:Strong knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum and safeguarding policies.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a team of nursery staff.Leadership qualities that promote confidence and a positive working environment for children and staff.A passion for nurturing children's growth and development.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor.A valid driving license (preferred but not essential).Benefits:Competitive salary.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Supportive work environment.Additional perks (to be listed here, such as holiday package, pension plan, etc.).Contribution towards relevant training and qualifications.How to Apply:If you have a passion for early years education and meet the required qualifications, we would love to hear from you!
