Teaching Assistant - Deaf Hub
* Job Type: Part-time (4 days per week)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Deaf Hub team in Peterborough. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting the educational development of hearing-impaired students.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the delivery of educational programs specifically designed for hearing-impaired students.
* Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and effective learning environment.
* Facilitate communication between students and staff using appropriate sign language and other communication aids.
* Help prepare and set up resources and equipment needed for daily activities.
* Work closely with other professionals within the hub, such as audiologists and speech therapists, to implement comprehensive support plans for students.
* Monitor and support the progress and well-being of students within the hub.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with hearing-impaired students or in a similar educational setting is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A caring and patient approach with the ability to encourage and inspire confidence in students.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of a lead teacher.
