We are seeking a dynamic individual who wants to take on a new challenge.
This isnt a straightforward cook the same menu everyday role.
This is a developmental role that requires out of the box thinking, strong time management skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
We are looking for someone who can run our galley kitchen for our members, oversee our street-food kitchen & pizza oven, and help build our contract catering division. No week will be the same, and your reward will be based on your ambition and entrepreneurial aptitude.
As our food guru, you will be responsible for overseeing all food production and ensuring high-quality culinary creations.
We can offer you a decent work/life balance - our main restaurant days being Thursday-Sunday, however there are also regular Saturday evenings free to you, unless of course you have helped sourced a function.
Sunday's are very important to us, and our guests, so we do require you to be able to create a wonderful Sunday lunch menu.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
- Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes for events or specialist evenings
- Preparing and cooking delicious and visually appealing dishes according to a the menu
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently by managing stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Managing and training any junior kitchen staff where required
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness, maintenance and organisation in the kitchen area, including all required standards for food safety.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and food safety practices
- Minimum Level 2 Food Safety Award
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
Desirable and useful but not necessary qualifications include:
* NVQ Level 2 or higher
* Level 3 Food Safety Awards
General skills that all good candidate should possess are:

* Ability to work without close supervision
