While the whole world of air, hotels, or car rental is normalized, rail, bus, ferries, airport transfer, all forms of ground transport are fragmented on a local level.

Along with their two brands, Rome2Rio used for global discovery, and Omio used for ticketing and journeys, they attract 600m+ users on a yearly basis while continuing to launch new geographies, new verticals, and new products as they scale. It’s a team based in Berlin, with offices in Prague, London, Melbourne.

Job Description
Please note: offered as a 1 years fixed term contract with a possibility to go permanent or extension, this role is UK based, also available in Prague or Berlin (please state location on the application, the default is Prague on the careers page).
Offered as remote, Omio does have an office in London near St Pauls, you may be asked to pop to the London office from time to time.
The Role
Provide operational support within the accounting and finance team. Hands on, transactional, and is pivotal to the effective operations of the company's finance function.
The Main Responsibilities
* Process sales and purchase invoices.
* Provide support with payment runs and banking transactions.
* Expense management and processing.
* Assist with reconciliations eg. Bank, fixed assets.
* Shared finance mailbox maintenance.
* Timely and accurate updates to management reporting.
* Support with ad hoc projects within the group.
* Support in group audits.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects.
* Provide support with period end closing processes for local GAAP and IFRS.
* Liaise with external service providers, auditors, and tax advisors.

* At least 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience preferably within a multinational company/ multi-currency environment. Start-up experience is a plus.
* Exposure to accounting and external reporting standards, especially HGB and IFRS.
* Experience with Workday ERP systems advantageous but not essential.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written), German advantageous.
