Job Description:

Summary: You will drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives related to projects at all stages throughout the customer journey, including client site testing services, engineering consultancy, conceptual studies, front-end engineering, detailed design, and construction. You will build and maintain project schedules, manage cost reports, assess and mitigate risks, and lead cross-functional teams through effective communication and oversight. Your role involves crafting and monitoring development plans, managing critical paths, and ensuring timely issue resolution. You will lead team meetings, document action items, follow up diligently, and communicate project status to senior management.

You will coordinate with internal teams such as Process Engineering, packaged plant manufacturers, and equipment design and fabrication services mainly across Western Europe. You will understand technical issues and facilitate their resolution by collaborating with key partners. Building strong relationships across teams and working closely with internal and external manufacturing suppliers and OEM partners are essential aspects of this role.

The focus will be on delivering UK and Ireland projects, with occasional international travel.

We promote career development and creativity among passionate individuals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Manage project delivery, including engineering design, resource allocation, programming, and contract administration.
* Assist sales in early client meetings to develop technical and commercial proposals.
* Support the development of customer offerings by liaising with internal teams and manufacturers.
* Plan resources, prepare tenders, and contribute to project strategy.
* Set up and review contracts with legal and governance support.
* Maintain stakeholder relationships and ensure adherence to environmental, health, safety, and quality procedures.
* Support financial controls and optimize contract performance.
* Ensure project delivery aligns with contractual terms, minimizing risk.
* Resolve contractual issues and report regularly to senior management.
* Conduct project reviews and facilitate continuous improvement.
* Potentially manage project engineer staff and mentor junior engineers.
* Encourage professional development and support staff chartership.
* Assist in recruitment of new staff.
* Promote the UK rollout of the ERP software.
* Set responsibilities, deadlines, and accountability for team members.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

* Proven experience managing engineering projects up to £20m, from consultancy to detailed design and build.
* Proficiency with MS Project or similar scheduling software.
* Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and problem-solving.
* Experience in schedule and risk management, contract management, and conflict resolution.
* Ability to manage budgets and project controls.
* Track record of adopting innovative and environmental technologies.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and well-being regulations, including CDM roles.

Working for us means:

* Probation period of 6 months.
* Pension scheme with immediate or after 3 months enrollment (employee 5%, employer 5%).
* Private healthcare after probation.
* Group income protection and death-in-service benefits from start.
* Notice period: 1 week during probation, 3 months afterward.

We are committed to environmental and social responsibility, aiming for Net Zero by 2040, maintaining high standards of transparency and accountability, and being a B-Corp.

We are an equal opportunity employer and promote diversity and inclusion in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Please do not contact us unless we initiate contact. Agency support is not desired; unsolicited resumes will be treated as direct applications.
