Creswell Infant and Nursery School is a nurturing and inclusive school located in the heart of an ex-mining community near Bolsover. We currently welcome 192 pupils from Foundation Stage 2 to Year 2, along with a 48-place nursery offering 15-hour provision. Guided by our Christian vision - ‘Together with God, we shine in all we do’ - we are a dedicated team with the ambition of championing every child, where each is celebrated, nurtured, and given the opportunity to shine.

We are proud to be recruiting an inspirational professional, someone with a genuine commitment to making a difference to children’s lives. Your role will be important to our school, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our children. Providing early help, preventing children from harm, supporting families who face problems and challenges in their daily lives. You will be a Designated Safeguarding lead, and work as part of our team. You will help every child to feel success and to thrive in our school, whatever their individual need or challenge.
The successful candidate will join us as soon as possible, ideally in September 25. We expect shortlisting to take place week commencing the 18th of August, with interviews being scheduled the same week.
We are looking to recruit an individual with: -
* Experience of supporting children, in an educational or welfare establishment.
* A relevant level 3 qualification appropriate to the role, and/or relevant training which may include, health and social care, mental health, counselling, the ability to deliver educational therapy sessions, DSL.
* Excellent communication skills, build relationships and gain trust. To collaborate with multi agency professionals and champion every child.
* The ability to empower and motivate families to engage, overcoming barriers to change.
* The ability to implement safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of children in school.
