The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Construction Manager to take a leadership role on major industrial construction projects. This position is ideally suited to individuals with a strong background in new build boiler installations, Energy from Waste (EfW), or Combined Heat and Power (CHP) developments.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of site-based construction delivery, ensuring that all activities are executed in line with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and Engenda’s safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the on-site execution of complex industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with programme, budget, and safety targets.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and site operations teams.
* Act as the principal site interface with project management, engineering, and client stakeholders.
* Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and internal HSE protocols.
* Drive construction planning, progress reporting, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Champion a culture of safety, quality, and performance excellence.
Candidate Profile:
* Demonstrable experience in the delivery of large-scale industrial projects, particularly in EfW, CHP, or boiler construction.
* Recognised construction management qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 6, CIOB, or equivalent).
* Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and manage multidisciplinary teams.
* In-depth knowledge of UK construction legislation, CDM, and HSE best practices.
* CSCS (Black Card), SMSTS, and relevant safety certifications preferred.
* Willingness to travel and work on-site across the UK as required.
