We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Setter to join our Machine Shop Team at our site in Abercynon, South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines.
* Interpret technical drawings and work instructions for accurate machining.
* Select and install appropriate tools and fixtures.
* Perform quality checks and first-off inspections to ensure product conformance.
* Optimize machine settings for efficiency and accuracy.
* Monitor equipment performance and report issues proactively.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE standards.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a CNC setter in a precision engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of machining processes and tool selection.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Experience programming with Fanuc and Num controls; Mazatrol experience is highly desirable.
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
