My client is recruiting an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join the team at our Daventry site. We are a well-established food/FMCG manufacturer supplying high-quality products across the UK and Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer from the food or FMCG sector who is looking for stable, Monday–Friday role on days with competitive pay and excellent benefits.
(No nights. No weekend rotation)
The Role - Maintenance Engineer
As an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production and packaging equipment within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns
* PLC fault-finding on production machinery
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Working on motors, drives, inverters, sensors, and control panels
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
* Assisting with installations and equipment upgrades
* Ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records
What We’re Looking For
* Electrically qualified (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
* Proven experience within food or FMCG manufacturing (essential)
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills
* PLC fault-finding experience (modification advantageous)
* Good mechanical knowledge (bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes)
* Proactive, team-focused approach
* Ability to work independently within a busy production environment
