About you
* Minimum 5 years’ experience managing health and safety within food manufacturing or industrial environments
* Used to the pace and the diverse risk profile
* Strong knowledge of UK and NI health and safety legislation
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proven leadership and people management abilities
* Relevant third-level qualification
* Knowledge of SMETA and ethical trading standards
* Previous operational experience within the food manufacturing sector
* Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards
What you’ll do
* Lead and optimise the site’s health and safety management system, ensuring ISO 45001 compliance
* Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
* Monitor safety performance through KPIs, developing improvement strategies
* Conduct risk assessments, audits, and prepare for external inspections and audits
* Manage contractor safety standards and oversee permit-to-work procedures
* Liaise with regulatory bodies such as HSENI and HSE
* Develop and test emergency response plans through regular drills
* Support operational teams on risk mitigation, safe systems of work, and statutory compliance
* Drive safety communication, training, and culture enhancement initiatives
