Pay and hours
Hourly rate starts from £13.35 and increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Weekly hours It is Tesco policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours, work to a minimum of 12 hours is possible.
Scheduling We will schedule contracted hours within the advertised availability windows and provide 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We are happy to discuss flexibility if your availability is similar to but not exactly the same as the advertised times.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:
* Keeping the van and trays clean, tidy, and organised
* Leaving the yard clean and picking up litter as you see it
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
* Loading the van and checking it for roadworthiness
* Discussing changes to orders with customers, including substitutions, offering refunds where needed
* Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own
* Explaining replacement charges to customers as needed
* Delivering within the customer’s time slot
* Calling the customer before arriving if early
* Calling the store if running 30 minutes or more late
Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations
* Share ideas with management on store improvements
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
