The University of Strathclyde, Facilities Management is seeking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to support the day-to-day operation of the Learning and Teaching Building. This is to meet the satisfaction of our customers. Duties of the successful applicant will include safety walk-rounds, reporting defects, fire marshalling, managing deliveries, setting up rooms and ensuring that the facilities are kept to an excellent standard for student and staff safety. The building is operational Monday - Sunday from 7am to 10pm that is covered by 3 teams of the Facilities Management on a shift rota basis. This role provides an additional allowance for shift working. The shifts follow a perpetual 3-week pattern in which you’ll work 7 days early shifts (07:00 – 15:30) and 7 days late shifts (13:30 – 22:00) with 3 or 4 days off in-between alternating. Each shift includes a 1-hour unpaid break.
