We are working with a successful manufacturing organisation in the Telford area who are looking for a driven Materials Controller to join them. The role involves coordinating all planning activities related to inbound and outbound materials and finished goods across the site. This company is a stable and well-recognised name within their market, with a growing customer base.
The Materials Controller will be responsible for:
* Ensuring effective levels of inbound raw materials and finished products
* Ensuring order cycles and stock levels are sufficient to meet production demands
* Utilising order forecasts to create efficient materials schedules
* Raising and placing purchase orders with suppliers for raw materials and packaging to achieve OTIF availability
* Monitoring work in progress and stock levels for raw materials and finished products
* Supporting and escalating supply chain issues affecting availability
Skills and Experience required:
* Previous experience as a Materials Controller, Planner, Scheduler, or in a similar supply chain role within manufacturing
* Experience in fast-paced, customer-driven manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of planning using MS Excel and MRP/ERP systems
* Proficiency in MS Excel for planning, scheduling, and data analysis
