Job Title: Consultant Medical Oncologist – Urology and Germ cell

This appointment is for a Consultant Medical Oncologist with an interest in Urological cancers and Germ Cell tumours based at University Hospital Southampton.
Key responsibilities
* Provide specialist Medical Oncology input with expertise in Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy for Urological and Germ Cell tumour patients.
* Treat patients with Urological and Germ Cell tumours at UHS.
* Provide oncology input to the UHS Urology MDT and Germ Cell MDT.
* Be a member of the Urological and Germ Cell MDT meetings.
* Participate in the management of Urological and GCT patients.
* Attend the Uro and GCT MDT meetings.
* Share the patient referrals.
* Support the Patient Triggered Follow Up (PTFU) pathways.
* Provide medical oncology expertise to the Uro/GCT services.
* Plan and supervise chemo/immunotherapy.
* Conduct on‑treatment review clinics.
* Supervise care of inpatients and provide cross‑cover for annual leave for other Uro/GCT Consultants at UHS.
* Provide Consultant input to Acute Oncology service at UHS.
* Engage in peer review meetings.
* Participate in the recruitment and running of clinical trials.

The successful candidate will be employed under the terms and conditions of service for Consultants (England) 2003.
