Now, with full backing from the CEO and executive team, we are entering a major growth phase for the program. We're forming a strengthened global project team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, and technical experts to accelerate delivery.

Your Role:
You'll act as the bridge between global business needs and technical execution, guiding feature teams through discovery, design, and delivery. Depending on your expertise, you may own a major GEL domain such as 'Lab Workflows' or 'Result Entry' or a portfolio of smaller areas 'Field App' and 'Sample Storage'.
In addition to your Product Owner responsibilities, you'll also take on key Business Analyst duties, helping ensure requirements are well understood, documented, and delivered.
Responsibilities
Discovery & Analysis -
Lead and inspire Business Analysts to uncover and document the current "as-is state of GEL systems.
Facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather insights and validate business needs.
Conduct deep-dive analysis of workflows, dependencies, and pain points.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify areas for improvement or redesign.
Requirements & Story Writing
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria. Write stories alongside assigned BAs.
Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Ensure backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
Product Vision & Strategy -
Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with transformation goals.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and release plans.
Balance short-term deliverables with long-term innovation and scalability.
Design & Innovation -
Champion modern design principles and user-centric thinking.
Collaborate with UX experts to redesign screens and interfaces for better usability.
Explore innovative technologies and propose enhancements to business logic and workflows.
Backlog Ownership -
Consolidate and prioritize feature requests into a clear, actionable product backlog.
Ensure alignment between business priorities and technical feasibility.
System Transformation & Migration -
Lead the end-to-end migration from legacy systems to modern platforms (e.g., microservices, cloud-based solutions).
Ensure data integrity, business continuity, and minimal disruption during cutover phases.
Collaborate with architects and developers to validate strategies and mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Engagement -
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
Facilitate refinement, planning, demos, and feedback sessions to ensure transparency and buy-in.
Manage expectations and communicate progress, risks, and changes effectively.
Team Leadership & Collaboration -
Supervise and mentor Business Analysts within your feature team.
Foster a collaborative, agile environment focused on continuous improvement.
Performance & Quality -
Work with QA teams to ensure robust testing and validation of new features.
Collaborate with compliance teams to embed governance into product design and delivery.
Work flexibly to accommodate time zones across regions.
Engage with diverse teams and adapt to varying local needs while maintaining global consistency.
Your Profile
We're looking for someone who brings a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical curiosity, and leadership capability — along with the people skills to drive collaboration across teams. You'll thrive in this role if you have:
* A solid work experience in either Laboratory Operations, Admin, Business Analysis or Project/Product Management
* Ability to translate business needs into system change requirements
* Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews
* Leadership skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and align cross-functional teams
* Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational abilities
* A global mindset and comfort working in remote, distributed teams
* Flexibility to occasionally attend early morning or late evening meetings across time zones
