They are now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join their award-winning team as a Care Assistant.


Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with their personal hygiene care, recognizing and understanding clinical risk areas in residents, acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, and practicing safe systems of work. Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

* Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
* Assist residents with personal hygiene care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
* Recognise and understand clinical risk areas in residents (e.g., weight loss, pressure areas, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalate identified risks promptly.
* Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Maintain safe systems of work across tasks within the home.

* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.

Qualifications

* Experience is not required as Avery Healthcare offers a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence within the role.
* The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and other team members, be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions, and be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
