The Special Events Manager is responsible for the leadership, development and delivery of the Special Events portfolio including income generating and stewardship events. The role involves working with senior stakeholders to deliver high quality events from concept to completion and to grow unrestricted income for campaigns and beyond.
Responsibilities
* Lead, develop and deliver the Special Events portfolio including gala dinners, engagement events, online auctions, virtual events and a golf day.
* Manage all aspects of events from concept to completion, including budget oversight and expenditure.
* Coordinate on-the-day event operations, lead and direct teams of staff and volunteers.
* Develop and maintain high value event relationships, including managing an event committee.
* Implement a strategic plan to deliver and grow income for campaigns and beyond.
Qualifications
* Experience of project management and creating high calibre income generating events (e.g., gala dinners).
* Experience managing events from concept to delivery with budget oversight.
* Ability to coordinate, lead and direct teams of staff and volunteers on event days.

* Location: Contracted to Peterborough office with flexibility for hybrid working
* Contract type: 12 Month fixed term contract - maternity cover
* Hours: Full time 37.5 hours or part time considered (minimum 30 hours per week)
* Salary: £34,000 - £37,500 FTE depending on experience
