The Opportunity: Head of Cloud - AWS
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Cloud to join our Engineering team This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction and operational management of our core cloud infrastructure on a global scale.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Accountabilities)
You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and strategic alignment of our platform team:
* Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the cloud platform team, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Develop and implement clear team strategies aligned with business goals.
* Platform Excellence: Lead the adoption of best practices and new technologies. Lead the auditing of core cloud platform services to ensure they are secure and reliable.
* Strategy & Collaboration: Represent the cloud platform function in engineering management and strategic planning sessions. Work closely with directors of engineering and other department heads to align strategies and ensure effective operational collaboration between teams.
* Documentation & Improvement: Drive platform engineers to contribute to documentation and processes to continuously improve team efficiency. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
