Great opportunity here to join an industry leading company in a senior position, you will be managing a team of Design Engineers and having oversight over the entire NPD process. The company design and manufacture a range of equipment for various sectors.
Roles/Responsibilities
* Lead the Design Engineering team with six direct reports, providing technical and strategic oversight.
* Manage the full New Product Development (NPD) pipeline from concept to launch.
* Conduct performance reviews and support the development of engineering staff.
* Set team priorities and align departmental goals with business objectives.
* Ensure all designs meet international standards and are validated via FEA, analysis software, or hand calculations.
* Approve or delegate design reviews, ensuring engineering accuracy and quality.
* Communicate technical updates to internal and external stakeholders.
What Were Looking For
* Background in the lifting industry : Preferred
* Demonstrated experience leading and managing design engineering teams : Required
* Bachelors degree (BEng) in Mechanical or Structural Engineering : Mandatory (for insurance compliance)
* Proven ability to manage workloads and allocate resources effectively
