The UK arm of an international business is looking for a Credit Control Manager to take ownership of the UK credit control function. You will be hands-on, a great communicator and have a strong understanding of credit control processes. You will have the autonomy to improve and develop processes, and the team would really welcome a candidate with a strong understanding of business partnering. The main target of the role will be to plan & deliver strategies to maximise recovery of cash, employing multiple channels to manage a wide & varied segmentation of customers. You will delivera consistently high level of service whilst collecting debts, providing regular feedback on performance in line with objectives. As Credit Control Manager, your responsibilities will include: Managing Debt Recovery process with sound understanding of UK credit control regulations & if needed, using legal processes to recover debt. Owning and continuously looking to improve reporting, providing actionable insights (e.g. DSO trends, customer risk segmentation, cash flow forecasts), communicating with the rest of the finance team. Reviewing and approving limits, analysing the risk to the business & making sound decisions, underwriting limits. Dealing with escalated queries and manage escalated aged balances agreeing payment plans when necessary, utilising your experience & judgement. Ensuring invoices and credits are raised correctly & being the point of escalation for outstanding debt, working closely with external customers Completing a monthly debt reporting pack which is shared with finance & senior leaders. Delivering month-end statements to customers in a timely manner and copy invoices suppliedas needed. Identifying and implementing process improvements or automation opportunities to enhance efficiency. The ideal Credit Control Manager: Proven previous experience in the role, with goodleadership & organisational ability - you can manage a large task list Proactive with a high attention to detail, a good work ethic & a great communicator who can solve problems Ability to interpret data &IT literate - Use of Microsoft Office, with proficiency using Excel (V Lookups, Pivot tables) A strong track record of working within a credit control function Excellent interpersonal skills & keen to be part of a small yet effective finance team, able to utilise your own initiative Experience in process improvements if it can be done better, lets change it! - reporting capability, stakeholder management, credit limit decisions, balancing risk vs commercial growth, and legal process knowledge This is a hybrid working role, 2/3 days per week in the office.
