We are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant with previous experience of SEND to support a child with specific needs from 1st September 2026. The successful candidate must be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity and will have an NVQ Level 2 qualification or above. Hours: 31.25 hours per week (Monday-Friday), term-time only Role is permanent Scale F, Points 7-10 - £16,351.35 - £17,428.31 per annum (pay award pending) Please note that we are also looking to recruit a second Teaching Assistant in an additional role. Key Requirements We are looking for a teaching assistant who: • Has a good understanding of how children learn and develop. • Has experience of working in a primary school. • Is passionate about working with children from a diverse background, including those with SEND • Has experience of working with children with more complex special needs • Is able to support teaching and learning in class and delivering targeted intervention work with small groups. • Is calm, patient and passionate about inclusive education for our most vulnerable children. • Is motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable. • Can show initiative and is able to work as part of a team. • Has excellent written and spoken communication skills. • Has an excellent understanding of how to protect children and is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of children in their care.
