The Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery of diverse and complex civil engineering projects within the rail sector. Working alongside a highly skilled team, you will champion technical excellence, support junior engineers, and play a central role in shaping project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Prepare outline and detailed designs for a broad range of civil engineering projects
Lead and support check/approve processes throughout project delivery
Undertake designer duties in accordance with CDM/CSM legislation
Engage with clients to support effective project delivery
Contribute to business improvement initiatives and wider company objectives
Maintain ongoing professional development
Mentor and support junior engineering staff
Required Experience
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) with ICE, IStructE or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in civil engineering, ideally with experience acting as CRE or working towards CRE status
Strong background in civil engineering design within the rail industry, including familiarity with Network Rail standards
Degree in Civil Engineering
Solid understanding of civil design principles, construction methods, and relevant standards
Experience working with Eurocodes
Proven ability to deliver projects in line with safety standards and CDM/CSM requirements
Commercial awareness, including programming and delivery to budgets and timescales
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as TEDDS and Supersuite
Ability to produce and review drawings using 2D/3D MicroStation
