An exciting opportunity has arisen for a English Lecturer to join our English team reporting to our Curriculum Manager of English, Maths, Digital and Foundation Learning.
As a English Lecturer with Redcar and Cleveland College, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of English programmes, ensuring that lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the needs of all learners. You will plan and deliver effective lessons, assess learners' progress through examinations and continuous assessment, and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression. You will also contribute to the wider work of the department through participation in curriculum development, team meetings, and quality assurance activities.
The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have strong IT and problem-solving abilities, demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and show a commitment to continuous professional development.
Qualifications and experience required:
* A degree in a related field.
* Certificate in Education/PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* Additional qualifications specific to teaching English in Further Education.
* Maths GCSE Grade 4 / C or willingness to work towards.
