Overview
Renewables Advisory Capability Lead (UK wide) – Jacobs, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy advisory projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and regulatory requirements. Accountable for key project delivery tasks and quality outputs through project reviewer/verifier role; provide technical guidance and expertise on renewable energy technologies, including solar, wind, hydro, and energy storage systems.
* Collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders at all levels (directors, internal networks, clients, regulators, partners, etc.).
* Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the growth of the Renewable Advisory capability.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (likely with a focus on energy: Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent process-related degree).
* Strong experience in the energy field (consultancy / industrial / commercial / utilities).
* Experienced project management skills, including ability to develop clear work programmes and communicate requirements to other team members.
* Knowledge of current and anticipated environmental, carbon and energy policy and legislation and how this can apply to organisations and projects.
* Understanding of the design, installation, and operation of renewable energy systems; plus understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance in the renewable energy sector.
