We are pleased to invite applications for this newly created post within our Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner passionate about SACT and its management. This is a 2-year fixed-term 8a post, working 37.5 hours per week. The position is funded by the Surrey & Sussex Cancer Alliance and offers access to support and educational opportunities.
Applications are invited from nurses with recent senior experience in SACT. We seek a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who is flexible, self-motivated, reliable, and a team player with leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will have a degree, advanced clinical practice skills, and excellent communication skills (verbal and written). They will actively participate in clinical practice, education, research, audits, and the implementation of national guidelines and service improvements.
The successful applicant will join a well-established, dynamic SACT team providing specialist treatment, advice, holistic care, and support to patients, relatives, and healthcare colleagues. They will contribute to the development and delivery of SACT services to enhance patient care standards.
Main duties include:
* Providing specialist support and advice to cancer patients receiving SACT.
* Collaborating with the Lead Chemotherapy Nurse, Cancer Nurses, and the AOS Team to develop and transform services.
* Using clinical judgment to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
* Managing clinical care, including assessments, investigations, procedures, and treatments.
* Leading audit, research, and service development initiatives, including the implementation of multidisciplinary guidelines.
* Promoting clinical governance and supporting the Trust/Unit protocols and guidelines.
