An exciting opportunity to take charge of this ambitious and aspiring visitor attraction and ensure it continues to deliver long-term economic, social and environmental value whilst seeking new and innovative ways to grow and expand its operations.
THE POSITION
1. Take full financial, commercial and strategic responsibility for the business and work closely with the Board to ensure long-term growth.
2. Inspire, motivate and mentor the team, and ensure the operation remains an employer of choice in the local and wider community.
3. Develop a new long-term business plan. Manage financial budgeting, appraisal and reporting across the different business units.
4. Provide hands-on management of major projects and schemes.
5. Work closely with the Board and wider team to optimise performance and identify compelling new opportunities, whilst preserving the business’ values and character.
6. Act as an ambassador for the operation to ensure positive working relationships with the local and wider community.
7. Manage external stakeholders including commercial partners, consultants and local authority representatives.
THE CANDIDATE
1. Charismatic, inspirational and entrepreneurially minded executive with a track record in delivering sustained growth.
2. Broad commercial experience across retail, hospitality and leisure sectors highly sought.
3. Strong leadership qualities, as well as possessing the self-awareness and humility to negotiate successful outcomes for key stakeholders.
4. Energetic, tenacious and hands-on with a meticulous attention to detail and a positive, driven can-do attitude.
5. Committed team player with excellent communication skills.
