Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs & maintenance industryWe are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.My Client is currently looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer for a Permanent position to carry out work in domestic properties covering Bristol and surrounding areas.The Fire Maintenance Engineer will deliver work across London and the Home Counties. The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European standards, in accordance with BS5839 standards.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contractsServicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systemsTo respond to emergency call-outs and carry out any remedial works as requiredCarry out asset verificationInstall replacement/additional equipmentTake part in the on-call rotaConduct site surveys as requiredSupporting the development of apprenticesTo always act in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the clientsRequired Skills and experience:Previous Fire Maintenance experienceGood understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.FIA units (1,3,5)Driving LicenceWorking Environment:This is operational site-based position and involves collaborating closely with the support service team. While also engaging with our clients.
Expect a dynamic and fast paced work setting that combines on site work with on-going communication with office-based colleagues. The role requires proactive interaction and liaison with clients/customers, to ensure effective communication and first-class customer service.Benefits:Basic Salary £34 - £38k with opportunity for overtime and standby, leading to a realistic OTE of £50,000- £65,00025 days holiday plus statutory & day off on your birthdayCompany Van with optional personal useAnnual performance related bonus.Standby and callout only required 1 night in 10Company pension schemeProgression opportunitiesCommitment to training and development.
