Priory Supported Living Lincolnshire
Priory Supported Living Lincolnshire provides supported living services for people with a variety of support needs, conditions, and presentations. This includes people who are autistic, have a learning disability, or mental health needs. Our specialist support enables people to live happy and fulfilling lives in their own homes within their community.
We are looking for a Bank Support Worker to join the team.
Your positive attitude and passion for providing high-quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient, and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
You will provide support with day-to-day activities, while encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference in their lives.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However, whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviors to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Not only is full training provided, but there are numerous career pathways available to you, including our Nurse Apprenticeship program.
Responsibilities
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and personal care
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
* Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of individuals
* Provide assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
* Empathy, understanding, and patience
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
* Ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
* Competent in verbal and written English
* A healthcare qualification is desirable but not essential
