We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced Histopathology Biomedical Scientist to join our team for maternity leave cover until 13th October 2026.
The core hours are 08:30 - 17:00, with an early shift at 07:00, and flexible working options are available.
To be successful as a Specialist / Team Leader (Band 6), you must hold professional registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the HCPC, possess the IBMS specialist portfolio in Histopathology or equivalent, and have recent NHS experience.
The role involves working within the histology surgical section (embedding and microtomy), performing quality control, troubleshooting, and ensuring timely throughput to support diagnostic pathways for cancer patients.
