We are currently seeking an ambitious Marine Trades Account Handler to join our team in Worcester. This full-time, permanent position offers flexibility with 2-3 days per week in our office, promoting a balanced work environment.
Responsibilities:
* Organise and manage personal work activities to meet team objectives and targets.
* Participate in team meetings and report on business progress.
* Manage assigned projects and contribute to others as needed.
* Review client documentation for accuracy and completeness.
* Communicate client requirements effectively for risk marketing.
* Liaise with clients to resolve queries and respond to market and third-party questions.
* Produce high-quality market documentation and secure necessary authorisations.
* Handle data entry, credit control, and chase subjectivities.
* Work with underwriters to place insurance balancing quality, coverage, and price.
* Process data accurately to support client service and internal processes.
* Maintain organized and timely client documentation.
* Conduct due diligence and sanctions checks per company procedures.
* Adhere to company policies and obtain required authorisations.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
* Support senior colleagues and clients as needed.
* Manage client enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
Requirements:
* Understanding of general and legal principles of insurance.
* Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
* Familiarity with the market, competitors, and cultural awareness.
* Experience in an account handling or technical role within commercial insurance.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently, use initiative, and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
* Resilience under pressure and adaptability to change.
