We’re seeking a committed Finance Manager to play a key role in supporting the directorate responsible for delivering housing across the city, including council housing, social housing, and temporary accommodation. With a flexible work pattern that’s primarily remote, you’ll benefit from autonomy while contributing directly to meaningful outcomes in the community.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the development of the Housing Revenue Account 30-year plan
* Manage and mentor a team of five group accountants
* Provide expert financial guidance to senior stakeholders and council members
* Lead the setting of annual budgets and robust financial forecasts
* Support executive meetings, committees, and other strategic forums
* Analyse and report on the financial implications of new and innovative housing initiatives
* Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements
