Job Title: Microsoft Security Consultant Location: United Kingdom (Remote Working) Day Rate: £350 - £375 (Inside IR35) Start Date: Immediate Job Type: 3 Month Contract I am looking for an experienced Microsoft Security Consultant with a strong track record of implementing and supporting Microsoft security solutions across enterprise environments. Adept at working with stakeholders to assess security posture, define requirements, and deliver practical, business-aligned solutions. Brings proven expertise across Microsoft 365 Security, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview, with extensive hands-on delivery experience. Job Responsibilities/Objectives: Assess customer security posture and provide tailored recommendations aligned to business needs Design, implement, and configure Microsoft security solutions across enterprise environments Develop and optimise Microsoft Sentinel use cases, analytics rules, dashboards, and playbooks Configure and manage Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and PIM policies Deliver Microsoft Purview solutions covering DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, and eDiscovery Conduct security reviews and create detailed roadmaps with remediation plans Support Zero Trust adoption strategies and implementation projects Deliver workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions for technical and business audiences Collaborate with stakeholders to translate security requirements into actionable solutions Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimisation of Microsoft security technologies Required Skills/Experience The ideal candidate will have the following: Microsoft Entra ID - Identity Governance, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM) Microsoft Defender Suite - Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps, Defender for Cloud Microsoft Sentinel - Playbooks, cost optimisation, analytics rules Microsoft Purview - Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, Insider Risk, Records Management Security Architecture - Zero Trust frameworks, posture assessments, and strategy alignment Security Roadmaps - Reviews, remediation planning, and structured improvement initiatives Soft Skills/Experience Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client: Strong customer engagement and stakeholder management abilities Skilled at translating technical requirements into business-focused outcomes Experienced in delivering workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer Collaborative team player with mentoring experience If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.
