Legal Finance Assistant – Leading Law Firm | 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Manchester | Competitive Salary Benefits We are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded law firm to recruit a Legal Finance Assistant to join their collaborative and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within the finance function, supporting fee earners to ensure all financial processes are handled accurately and efficiently in line with SRA regulations. The Role: As the Legal Finance Assistant, you will play a vital part in the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, working closely with fee earners and other internal departments. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the finance aspects of the firm’s case management system Investigating and analysing file balances to support timely and informed file closure Liaising effectively with fee earners and internal teams to ensure smooth financial processes Raising payment requests with the Accounts Team Generating bills and processing write-offs Managing the closure of files in accordance with internal procedures About You: Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a background in legal finance or a similar role. Ideally, you will bring: Previous experience in a legal cashier role or within the legal sector A strong understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules Familiarity with the conveyancing process (advantageous but not essential) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, forward-thinking firm that values its people and provides opportunities for development.
