Shop Supervisor
Age UK is recruiting a Shop Supervisor for their Halstead store. The role involves delivering an excellent retail service, managing day-to-day shop operations, deputising for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence, and supporting sales and stock management activities.
Fixed Term Contract: 3 month fixed‑term, 21 hours per week across a 7‑day working week, including Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.
Required to handle and lift stock bags up to 10 kg. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to cover additional days for holidays, sickness, or shop events.
Qualifications
* Experience in a customer‑facing role
* Experience of cash handling
* Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10 kg
* Team working skills
* Capability to work lone when required
* Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, and commitment to equal opportunities
