Job Overview An Electrical Improvers role is to support qualified electricians on-site, performing technical and labour tasks under supervision. Duties and Responsibilities as a Electrical Improver * Assist with containment systems: installing trunking, cable trays, conduit * Perform cable pulling, routing wires, and cable management * Help with 1st and 2nd‐fix work: wiring sockets, lighting, terminating boards * Support testing equipment and assist with fire alarm or lighting fault diagnosis under guidance * Comply with site safety procedures, wear PPE, adhere to CDM and electrical regulations * Maintain tools, tidy areas, support qualified electricians—fetching materials as needed Skills and Experience * NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation - Demonstrates core competence in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with industry standards. * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - Up-to-date understanding of IET wiring regulations, including knowledge of current safety standards, RCDs, circuit design, and special locations. * ECS Card – Electrical Labourer or Electrical Improver - Valid ECS card proving identity, core electrical qualifications, health & safety knowledge, and employment within the UK electrical industry. * Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Test – ECS Approved Package benefits * Company vehicle * Group Life Assurance at 3 x annual salary after successful completion of probation period * Private healthcare after successful completion of probation period * Pension after successful completion of probation period * Development and career progression opportunities We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all individuals, regardless of age, disability, gender, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
