Position Overview:

Finning Power Rental is one of the world’s leading providers of custom rental power solutions. Our extensive range of world-class rental equipment includes power generators, load banks, and transformers. We are seeking a Sales Engineer to cover the North and Scotland regions.

Job Description:

The Sales Engineer will drive sales of Finning Power Rental solutions by engaging current and potential customers, providing technical product and service information, and leveraging customer insights to maximize profitability and market share.


Responsibilities:

1. Market Engagement: Generate high-quality sales leads, identify customer needs, acquire new customers, and nurture existing relationships. Focus on 70% new business and 30% account management.
2. Sales Plan Development: Create and implement sales strategies for the territory, utilize digital platforms, prepare quotes, deliver technical presentations, attend marketing events, maintain CRM data, and contribute to sales forecasts and analysis.
3. Receivables Management: Ensure timely collection of payments within agreed terms.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Operations, Applications, Finance, and other teams to ensure high-quality proposals and customer satisfaction.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

1. Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
2. Relevant experience in engineering and sales within industrial services or rental industries.
3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
4. Experience in contract negotiations.
5. Strong customer relationship-building skills.
6. Product knowledge, especially in generators or related technical products, and awareness of the rental industry market.
7. Ability to achieve market share growth, meet revenue targets, and ensure customer satisfaction.
