Clinical research in Mood Disorders
The Faculty of Medicine and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are collaborating in a clinical research study, led locally by Professor David Baldwin, investigating the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation in patients with depression. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong research and organisational skills to develop their expertise. Applications are invited from enthusiastic early-stage researchers to join the research team.
Responsibilities
* Undergo training in certain psychopathological rating scales.
* Provide study information and assess potential study participants.
* Monitor participant progress during the study.
* Enter data into on-line systems.
* Assist with study awareness-raising.
* Attend local and national research team meetings.
* Join an existing research team, working on this and other studies.
* Ensure that the study is undertaken in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and other regulatory standards.

The job
This is a part-time fixed appointment to 30 April 2028, available from April 2026.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and will have previous experience in working in academic or clinical settings. The candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, the ability to use own initiative, and well-developed attention to detail. The candidate will have an opportunity to gain additional knowledge and experience in clinical related research.
