SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School, Poulton-le-Fylde (FY6)

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Poulton-le-Fylde area. We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team from May 2026, working full-time for the remainder of the summer term and continuing into the new academic year in September 2026.
About the Role
In this rewarding position, you will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and thrive within the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and other support colleagues to ensure each child receives the individual care and guidance they need.
Your Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with SEND
Adapting learning tasks under the direction of the class teacher
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Helping to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
A patient, caring, and resilient nature
A passion for supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Availability for full-time work from June onwards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
