Job Description

We are seeking a driven, dynamic and commercially experienced professional with a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

Events

1. Responding to relevant M&E enquiries in line with company standards
2. Actioning enquiries promptly and following up on a timely basis
3. Prepare proposals and contracts, check billings, invoices and process payments and input accurately into hotel systems.
4. Sales driven and ability to optimise every sales opportunity
5. Proactively convert key provisional business through show rounds and proactive chase
6. Conduct show rounds with prospective clients promoting the hotel
7. Ensure clear billing instructions and communication of these details to the operations team
8. Compiling accurate function sheets, distributing weekly and discussing with Operations team accordingly, providing updates as required.
9. Work closely with the F&B & Front of House team to ensure smooth running and execution of weddings, conferences and events on site along in collaboration with the Sales and Events team
10. Meet targets, KPI’s, schedules, follow company policies and procedures, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
11. Ability to deal with all enquiries and provide information and quotations via phone and emails.
12. Ability to identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
13. Greet function organisers and be the point of contact and fully responsible for the ceremony/event.

Sales

14. Manage local key clients and customers to grow relationships and encourage repeat business.
15. Support Hotel service and strategy by regularly updating action plans, reports and financial objectives
16. Proactively generate leads and promote the hotel through research, attend industry events, networking and targeted outreach
17. Monitor and stay ahead of market trends and competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly based on competitor analysis and local market insight.
18. Supporting the overall Sales and Events team to help achieve sales targets, handling calls and enquiries and producing event proposals and contracts.
19. Develop and build relationships with new and existing customers, travel management agents and group agents to enable future bookings, through sales calls, organizing FAM trips, attending industry events when needed etc
20. Collaborate with the central sales and marketing teams to identify marketing opportunities to maximise exposure and drive revenue
21. Record and maintain accurate data through relevant CRM systems and current processes.

Qualifications

22. Proven experience working in proactive sales or events within hotel events/sales or leisure and tourism
23. A proven track record of achieving sales targets
24. Highly organised with the ability to manage your schedule and work independently as well as being a reliable member of the overall sales and events team.
25. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills both oral and written
26. Self-motivated and results oriented with a record of meeting or exceeding targets
27. Willingness to travel and be flexible with working hours.
28. Ability to establish trust and build rapport with potential clients and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in all departments of the hotel
29. Ability to provide and demonstrate exceptional guest service
30. Confident in using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
31. Precise and detailed oriented
32. Clean, valid Driving License

Additional Information

33. Competitive salary from £28,000 per annum
34. 40 hours per week, worked over 5 days including weekends (based on business needs.)
35. 28 days holiday including bank holidays with an additional day on your birthday
36. Complimentary stay at the Castle after 3 months’ probation period successfully passed
