About the Position

Contract Type: Non-Teaching (Permanent) (Six Month Probationary Period)
Salary Grade: Prince Henry’s Support Staff Pay Scale range B8 – B10, starting at Point B8
Salary Range: £21,209 per annum to £21,852 per annum – starting at £21,209 (FTE £24,890 per annum)
Hours: Full time – Term Time Only* (Part Time Considered)
Responsible to: Chief Finance Officer – Mr M Brunt

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Accounts Assistant to support the current finance team at Prince Henry’s High School.
Responsibilities
To provide financial and administrative support to the Chief Finance Officer and Finance Officer. Duties will include, processing of invoices and receipts, taking queries and other book-keeping tasks.
Key Tasks
•Data entry into IRIS Financial software / Sage for the school and Henrician Theatre including:
oPurchase invoices
oSales invoices / receipts
oCredit control
oReconciliation of bank statements
•Liaising with clients and suppliers
•Assist with annual finance audit
•Handling petty cash
•Dealing with queries online, by phone and in person
•Supporting the Finance Officer with school trips administration, and supporting the management of ParentPay
Personal Requirements
•Strong analytical and numeracy skills appropriate to the role, including use of computerised packages such as Microsoft Office Suite and IRIS Financials or similar
•Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
•Good interpersonal & communication skills
•Ability to work well within a team and independently
•Detail orientated and discreet
•Maintaining personal development to meet the changing demands of the job and participating in appropriate training activities
•AAT qualified or working towards qualification (similar qualification accepted) would be desirable
